Building Open-Source Language Processing Programs in PHP.
Exposure to academic research in the digital humanities at the Ohio State Writing Center inspired me to create an online tool capable of generating useful insights from writing across all disciplines. Thus, the Keyword Tool was born. It accepts papers in .docx or .txt format, finds keywords, gives statistics, and highlights them in-us without affecting the original file. The tool is written in PHP and released under the GPL 3.0.
The Bullet Point Tool was created as a proof-of-concept for a Digital Media class at The Ohio State University. It accepts text copied and pasted into the program and breaks it apart into bullet points. My ultimate goal is to integrate this tool with my Keyword Tool to ensure the generation of accurate bullet points. The tool is also written in PHP and released under the GPL 3.0.
